On April 18, a truly joyful event for children, parents, and teachers took place in the village of Kasym Kaisenov—the administrative center of the Ulan district—with the grand opening of a new, spacious, and modern building for the music school.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beisembayev, and the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov.
According to the Minister, this is a significant event for the Ulan district, creating extensive opportunities for the development of creatively gifted children, inspiring an interest in the arts, and providing access to quality education.
«I wholeheartedly congratulate you on the opening of the new music school! This is a true home for talent, paving the way to the future for the younger generation. It is particularly symbolic that the opening takes place on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.
At the meeting of the National Kurultai, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that supplementary education must become an integral element of the comprehensive upbringing of the younger generation. He noted that education and upbringing should go hand in hand, and the 'Adal Azamat' (Honest Citizen) program will become the foundation for shaping an honest and educated generation that aligns with national value», — the Minister noted.
The East Kazakhstan Region ranks among the leaders in children's coverage with supplementary education, with this figure reaching 94%.
Until recently, the music school was housed in the House of Children's Creativity. Now it has its own spacious and modernly equipped building, opening up new horizons for the free creative development of both students and teachers.
The collaboration between the school and the Sustainable Rural Development Fund began in 2019. Back then, musical instruments such as a flute, digital piano, saxophone, alto saxophone, guitar, cello, violin, prima-kobyz, and dombra were purchased. In 2021, the school was further equipped with traditional Kazakh instruments, including the sybyzgy, sazsyrnai, shankobyz, and others.
In addition, at the Fund's initiative to support the professional growth of teachers, the renowned Kazakh composer and multi-instrumentalist Yedil Khussainovwas invited to launch a training program for the music school's faculty.
As part of the ongoing partnership, representatives of the Fund were invited to the opening of the new school building as guests of honor.
The new building of the music school features 14 classrooms, a choreography hall equipped with mirrors and ballet barres, and a 126-seat concert hall with an LED screen—all of which will enable cultural and educational events to be held at a high level.
