The Foundation is dedicated to implementing Aitas Foundation’s strategy for rural development.

We are committed to the sustainable development of rural areas, unlocking the potential of local communities, and improving people's quality of life.

We work in three districts, implementing projects in the economic, environmental, and social spheres to shape a comprehensive vision for the future of rural communities.

Our work is based on two key approaches.

First — synergy: we unite businesses, public authorities, and local communities to create lasting change and advance sustainable development.

Second — future-back planning:: we begin by asking, “What could rural communities look like in 10, 20, or 50 years?” We create a vision for the future and turn it into reality step by step.

We view sustainable development as the foundation of strong and resilient rural communities that can preserve their resources and create opportunities for future generations.

Aitas Meken Foundation works across three rural districts: Bulandy District in the Akmola Region, and Ulan and Katon-Karagay districts in the East Kazakhstan Region.

The Foundation’s work is guided by three key focus areas: economic development, social well-being, and environmental sustainability. We conduct comprehensive territorial assessments and, in partnership with local communities, businesses, and government authorities, develop long-term sustainable development strategies aimed at improving quality of life and fostering balanced regional growth.
